JUNE GOALS 2018

In my book, it feels like summer. I mean it’s June, it’s already hit the 90s and the 100s in heat and the pool opened up outside in my living community so I’m declaring it sweet summertime. You too? Good.  🙂

Summer can bring a mix of emotions for people because as much as you want to slow down and enjoy laying by the water, hanging out at the cabin, or chatting with your best friend around the bonfire, you also want to be productive in your business, get all the stuff done in your yard or around your house, and your To Do list seems to be never ending. It’s a mix of wanting to sit out on your patio with a glass of wine, without your phone, to watch the sunset and yet, wanting to just get one more blog post or one more client recap sent, or one more load of laundry done.

So for me, it’s all about balance. Sure some people believe balance is possible and some people believe there is no such thing. Whether you believe in balance or not, you have to understand, how do YOU define balance? Because how you define balance is different than the other girl at work or your best friend.

For me, I love variety which helps me create my definition of balance in my life and that is exactly where my focus is for June. I have more changes in my life happening this month than I have ever had before. Honestly, more changes happening in the next 30 days than I have ever had happen in the past. I’m choosing to embrace all the change because if you don’t change, you don’t transform. And like my sweet friend Cam reminded me the other day, my life is unrecognizable right now from what it used to be. I quit my full time job in retail as a buyer to pursue coaching full time, I went out to San Jose for my first time for Unleash the Power Within to walk on fire (Yes, actual fire with flames and all) at Tony Robbins event and I graduated from Tony Robbins Coaches Academy which was the most intense coaching training I have ever done, and I now have friends in that coaching family from around the world.

As I think about my word of the year, TRANSFORM, and as I trust that this is exactly where I’m supposed to be at this season in my life, here is what I am pouring my heart and soul into for June.

JUNE 2018 GOALS

  1. Utilize a new daily scheduling technique called “chunking”. I was talking to my coach last week about how I wanted to revamp my daily schedule now that I’ve been getting used to coaching full time and working from home. I’ve done it a few days & am really enjoying it so far.
  2. I want to focus on fully loving each of the women in The Relationship Lab group coaching program. I have loved coaching them during week 1 and I can’t wait to watch them get the results that they want in their relationships through coaching throughout the rest of June! 
  3. Speaking of results, I have 5 new spots that opened up for 1 on 1 coaching with me in June for you to get the results you want.   4. Connect with friends & family more through snail mail. I love the surprise of sending someone a hand written note in the mail to let them know they matter to you and are special.
  5. I want to finish reading Design Your Life this month and reread The Happiness Project.
  6. It’s Finance Month. Okay, well every day I am dealing with finances, but this month I want to totally transform how I am currently doing my financial planning so I know I’m going to be spending some quality time with Dave Ramsey’s work & Kate Northrup’s book “Money: A Love Story”.
  7. Host an online event to share more about what it’s actually like to work with a life coach & answer all your questions you keep asking me. 🙂
  8. Do more writing. Yes, this one is still on the list. Fun fact: I love writing. I never thought that would be something that I would truly love as much as I do, but it’s my way to express myself. Now, am I good at it? That’s debatable, but the Huffington Post seems to like it so I just keep doing me and sharing my heart with you. So I want to do more writing for my blog & give you more insight to your own life and do some more writing for our church newsletter and other outlets as well.
  9. Have a Skype Date each week with a friend or family member to create deeper connections.
  10. Stay faithful in my daily Bible reading routine.
  11. Workout 3x per week this month & walk every day outside.

JUNE HABITS TRACKER

As for my habit tracking this month, I want to keep things very simple. These habits all support my bigger goals for June and for the overall year so I definitely want to continue making these part of my daily practice.

This is something she teaches in The Desire Map that I have adopted into my own life and have genuinely loved and felt such a noticeable difference in my life from it. You can grab your own free copy HERE. I hang mine up in my kitchen to check off every day.

  • Read my Bible each evening. I really want to dig into His Word and promises more deeply.
  • Pick and read out loud my daily mantra this helps me center back in to my energy and check how I am showing up in each circumstance
  • Track my food in my food tracker
  • Use my oil diffuser each day while I am working at home
  • Go for a 45 minute walk each day
  • Start each morning with reviewing my life purpose statement and my core desired feelings
  • Cultivate one thing each day that makes me feel Hygge. Don’t know what hygge is? Check it out here. I have a part Danish heritage and absolutely adore this way of living.
  • Text/email/call one friend each day to see how they are doing & catch up
  • Listen to some form of Personal Development material each day through YouTube or podcasts. I like to do this while I get ready in the morning because then it doesn’t take any extra time out of my day.
  • Meditate 5 days a week. This is so important to create the energy that moves me forward in the direction of my dreams

There ya have it, friend. This is my version of balance for the month of June and you know what, it feels good. It feels really good. Now, it’s time to get out of the coffee shop I am writing in and go snuggle with my little doxie, Boots. It’s about balance right?! 🙂

Have an intentional June full of whatever balance means to you. Remember the only meaning anything has in your life is the meaning you choose to give it.
